Workforce Systems Analyst
Davey Tree is seeking a Workforce Systems Analyst to facilitate and drive solutions, aligning to corporate policy & best practices. This role reports to the Director of Recruiting and Employee Development, and functions as a HRIS Analyst primarily responsible for creating dashboards and business intelligence reports and visualizations. This position requires working with a variety of data sources to develop and implement data / business intelligence applications to enable internal customers to make data-driven business decisions.
Job Description
*Partner with key stakeholders on data analysis problems; researches and solves complex inquiries related to the company's workforce using internal and external data *Mine complex employee and organizational data and transform it into actionable information *Identify success measures and key performance indicators for client organizations *Apply common statsitical methods and data modeling to answer strategic questions for the business, such as QlikSense and QlikView *Analyzes and determines information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements and data output and reporting capabilities *Coordinates new data development, ensuring consistency and integration with the existing data warehouse structure *Build self-service dashboards with KPIs and productionize analytics to place the intelligence in stakeholders' hands *Use advanced data visualization techniques to communicate solutions to stakeholders *Extract relevant data from source databases (SQL Server, SAP, SuccessFactors) to outline key trends impacting our business *Utilize data visualization to bring data to life and tell a compelling story built around actionable insights *Evolve our business intelligence function by automating many of the time intensive (but largely static) data pulls and dashboards/visualizations we perform today *Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners to ensure insights are relevant and user-friendly *Demonstrate productivity through the efficient use of time and a commitment to strong results *Excellent communication and facilitation skills, as job requires collaboration with other data professionals and business clients. *Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills and a good grasp of the technical side of business intelligence; and always keep up to date with the latest BI tools and technologies. *This position functions as part of a team that produces Executive level deliverables and therefore requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience required; 5 years of related experience *3 years' experience using advanced analytics to derive actionable insights *Intermediate SQL skills, including ability to select and join disparate, complex data sets *Excellent data visualization skills *Experience with SAP SuccessFactors data preferred *Hands-on experience with data visualization tools, including the ability to develop dashboards from scratch *Experience in extracting data from SAP On-Premise or SuccessFactors Employee Central using Integration Center and Report Center strongly desired *Excellent communication skills written, verbal, and presentation skills *Applied experience with statistical and automation programs *Ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners *Strong proficiency in MS Excel, ability to efficiently utilize MS Office Suite of Applications
